Charlotte: I want to keep unemployment levels low18.05.2017
Charlotte is determined to keep unemployment levels in Bristol North West low by encouraging investment and running more of her successful jobs fairs.
Last year she ran a jobs fair aimed at deaf and disabled people, in conjunction with Deaf Unity, a deaf-led learning and development charity, which was heralded as a major success, following on from another jobs fair in 2014.
The high quality range of employers at both events led to a large turn-out of visitors who were able to network and receive advice tailored to their individual needs.
Charlotte said: “For too long deaf and disabled people have found it harder than they should to take steps on the employment ladder and we wanted to offer a ‘bespoke’ event which would properly address their needs. Unemployment levels may be low but there is always more to do.”
