As part of her campaign to see a Henbury Loop line for North Bristol, Charlotte was in parliament to support the re-launch of the concept of Community Rail with the Association of Community Rail Partnership’s (ACoRP). Charlotte met with Keith Walton, from Severnside Community Rail Partnership, which has seen great improvements of the stations along the Severn Beach Line and received national recognition for their work.

Commenting, Charlotte said, “It is great to see community local rail on the agenda at Parliament. We’ve long been campaigning here in Bristol for a strategic vision for our community rail and a Henbury loop line, and I’m going to continue to make the case, particularly with the consultation for the new franchise specifications for the region coming up.”

Earlier this year Charlotte secured a parliamentary debate on the future of local Bristol rail, where she pressed the Minister for Local and Regional Transport on the need for a Henbury loop line in North Bristol.
